Gold Sulfide Ore Testing Equipment

The gold sulfide ore testing process is as follows: The raw ore after the screening to get over 20 mesh and 0- 20 mesh two types of materials, over 20 mesh materials enter the ball mill and are ground to 0-20 mesh, all 0-20 mesh materials are fed into the spiral chute for gravity separation, resulting in concentrate, middling, tailings. Fine middlings go to the spiral chute for separation. Then the ore goes to the shaking table gravity separation, and the tailings go to a blanket chute. The mining equipment includes ball mills, spiral chutes, shaking tables, and blanket chute machines.

Ball Mill – Grinding

  • Laboratory grinding equipment, a cylindrical ball mill, is a fully sealed dry and wet intermittent grinding equipment used for semi-industrial laboratories. It has wide applications in building materials (especially cement and ceramic industries), refractory materials, metallurgy, coal, light industrial chemicals, agriculture, and other small industrial grinding materials for ore selection research. It is a transitional grinding equipment between continuous grinding and intermittent grinding.   • A ball mill is a cylindrical grinding machine that contains various diameters of grinding media (such as steel balls, steel rods, or gravel). When the cylinder rotates around the horizontal axis at a certain speed, the media and raw materials inside the cylinder are under centrifugal force and friction force. As the cylinder reaches a certain height, when its gravity exceeds the centrifugal force, they are thrown or rolled off the inner wall of the cylinder, impacting and crushing the ore. During the operation of the ball mill, the sliding motion between the grinding media also exerts a grinding effect on the raw materials.

Purpose: Grind the sulfide ore to 0- 20 mesh.

In sulfide ore beneficiation, ball mills are mainly used for grinding materials to achieve 0-20 mesh or finer finished products.

Experimental process: After the manual screening, pour the over 20 mesh material into a ball mill, and ground steel balls. Then you can see that the ball mill rotates continuously, and the grinding steel ball inside will grind the material into fine particles. Ball mills are also suitable for grinding other metal ores like copper and chromium ore, etc.

Spiral chute-enriched heavy minerals

A spiral chute is a new type of gravity beneficiation equipment suitable for separating iron ore, ilmenite, chromite, pyrite, tungsten ore, tin ore, tantalum sawdust, placer gold, zircon, rutile, monazite, phosphorite, and other non-ferrous metals, rare metals, and non-metallic minerals with specific gravity differences, with a particle size of 0.6-0.05mm (In special cases,<2mm). With the development of beneficiation technology, the chute mainly plays a role in the entire mineral sorting process: enriching heavy minerals, throwing away most of the tailings at once, reducing the use of other equipment in subsequent beneficiation operations, reducing equipment investment, reducing the area occupied by the beneficiation plant, and improving sorting capacity. Spiral chutes have attracted attention among numerous gravity separation equipment due to their low power consumption, simple structure, small footprint, easy operation, stable beneficiation, clear ore separation, no moving parts, easy maintenance and management, and large processing capacity per unit area. The spiral chute has a wide and flatter groove surface, and the places where the slurry flows in a laminar flow are larger, making it more suitable for handling medium to fine (-4mm) sized ores. It has wide applications in non-ferrous and rare metal mines.

Purpose: To preliminarily enrich heavy mineral gold and remove light minerals such as waste sand.

Experimental process:

  • First, the spiral chute uses gravity to separate materials with a specific gravity difference. A spiral chute is an inclined trough beneficiation equipment that utilizes the comprehensive effects of gravity, friction, centrifugal force, and water flow to separate ore particles according to density, particle size, and shape. Its characteristic is that the entire inclined trough bends into a spiral shape in the vertical direction.
  • Pump the -20 mesh slurry into the spiral chute. There are minerals of different colors on the chute surface. The black-colored minerals in the middle and right are heavy, while the light minerals on the left are tailings.
  • Finally, Spiral chutes have a wide application, including processing tungsten tin, copper, silica sand, chromium ore, etc.

Shaking table – improving gold concentrate

The LY-type shaking table is a usual equipment for laboratory research, testing, and gravity beneficiation in small beneficiation plants. It is suitable for separating fine and fine rare metals, ferrous metals, non-ferrous metals, precious metals, and other minerals. It can not only serve as an independent beneficiation operation, but also work with a jig separator, spiral chute, centrifugal concentrator, or other ore selection equipment. This equipment separates minerals based on the specific gravity difference of the minerals and the layering performance in the horizontal flow of the bed surface that moves in an asymmetric and inclined manner. It has the characteristics of distinct zoning of minerals with different specific gravity on the bed surface, high concentrate quality, and convenient operation and adjustment.

Purpose: To improve the grade of gold concentrate.

Experimental process: The refined ore from the spiral chute goes to the shaking table. By utilizing mechanical shaking and the flushing effect of water flow, the mineral particles will separate according to their density. The zoning of minerals on the bed surface is obvious, and we can see the gold concentrate.

It is suitable for separating rare and precious metal ores such as gold, silver, copper lead zinc, tantalum niobium tin, manganese ore, etc. A shaking table is for mineral processing in a horizontal medium flow. The sorting process occurs on an inclined bed surface with a wide surface. Through the layering effect of water flow on the bed surface and the separation layering effect during the shaking of the bed surface, the ore particles are layered and move horizontally and vertically. Under the action of water flow and shaking of the bed surface, the ore particles with different densities are discharged from different sections of the bed surface, achieving the purpose of sorting.

The blanket chute is for selecting and sorting raw materials with a mesh size of over 80.
